一對一聊天的稱謂 - 文化差異

最近跟一個外國朋友聊天
我們對話的時候他常常一直提到我的名字

就算是在僅有我們一對一的場合下
他常常還是說"so XXX(我的名字) how u think about it"
或者是說再見的時候也是"XXX i gonna go bye~"

是因為剛認識沒多久所以才會比較常提名字的關係嗎？
中文裡好像就比較少這樣一對一還稱呼對方名字的...

PS. 對方不是english native spreaker但英文很好就是
